I Miss That Bliss
Closely holding my sweet baby
Perfection against my chest
Snapping pictures of sweet expressions
Playing “This Little Piggy” with his toes,
Bathing his soft skin
Watching him kick the water and splash
Laughing with him as droplets splattered his face
Drying him in a hooded baby towel,
Rubbing lotion on his clean smooth skin
Donning a fresh diaper
Blowing bubbles on his tummy to make him laugh
Hearing the happiness in his giggles,
Slipping on clean comfy clothes
Wrapping him in a cuddly blanket
Feeding and gently rocking him
While singing and then humming softly,
Watching his eyelids grow heavy
Feeling his comfort and contentment
Knowing the safety of a mommy’s care
The security of those loving arms,
My baby is protected and safe
The best bliss is mommy bliss
I miss that innocence of not knowing
I miss that bliss.
Informational Gathering in July
When: July 25, 9:30 a.m. to noon
Where: Christus Victor Church,
4110 Central Ave. Pike, Knoxville
What: History and background; growth; plans for the future
Why: All moms have a voice regarding our outreach efforts. Your sharing and ideas can impact another mom in her time of need. You can make a difference!
Refreshments will be served. After the session, moms who wish to gather for lunch will decide on a restaurant.
Knoxville Chapter
Many moms have expressed a need to gather more frequently. We heard you, and now we’re gathering monthly at our new Knoxville location: Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 4110 Central Ave. Pike.
Moms are welcome at this gathering location, or at our Harriman or Morristown locations.
Mother’s Day Remembered
Moms and their friends and family enjoyed fellowship, music, and home-made ice cream and cobblers at the home of Dana and Karen Archer. We thank them for their generosity and hospitality.
