Butterfly Release

Friends and family gather for an annual picnic and butterfly release at local community parks. Butterflies are released to commemorate the transformed spirits of our precious children  and symbolize their spiritual freedom as the butterflies take flight. This event is made possible through the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donations.

Mothers’ Day Remembrance

This annual event brings love and support to bereaved mothers. We recognize that after the death of one’s child, Mother’s Day can be especially tough. We offer support to each other and honor our own mothers, each other, and our deceased daughters who were also mothers. We all share a mother’s heart.  This event is made possible through the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donations.

Candle Lighting Ceremony

This annual event combines a somber remembrance of our children gone too soon with some festive activities. Friends and family uplift the moms, as we light memorial candles and say our child’s name as a gong chimes. There is also an opportunity to share memories if moms wish to do so.

The evening includes an invocation, music, poetry readings, refreshments, and a gift exchange to commemorate the joy our children typically felt for the holidays. This event is made possible through the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donations.

Remembrance Tree

This annual event is an opportunity for moms to hang a personal ornament that represents their child on the Listening Hearts Remembrance Tree. The tree remains lit throughout the holiday season after a kick-off tree lighting ceremony, offering a respite from the stresses of the season.  This event is made possible through the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donations.
