Butterflies
Live tiny lives
But oh, the joy they bring!
Whether in a farmer’s field or palaces of a king.

No fashion designer has ever made
A color to match their brilliant shade.
No stripe or circle or design
Its beauty leaves them far behind.

They flit about from flower to flower
Oblivious to a summer shower.
They dine on poppies and crimson clover.
Their life just starts, and then it’s over.
